Cooperative Project Rincones del Mundo
The Cooperative Project Rincones del Mundo (“Corners of the World?, in Spanish) offers a communication channel for students of different ages and disciplines that want to talk about their own corner of the world through text, art, academic papers, audio records, etc.
In order to facilitate the interchange with places abroad that use different school calendars and diverse learning paces, the Cooperative Project proposes that each teacher uses his/her own work style and time frame.
The activities of each project will include all kind of student’s productions – presentations with foils, texts, animations, etc. – telling how they see and understand their own place in the world. This year the work will be centered on the topic “National Holidays through games?. This topic provides enough freedom to adapt the projects to the different ages and technologies used by each group. If a group prefers to talk about their corner in the world through art without using computers, it will be possible to send pictures and texts showing their work and telling about the experience.
The material to be presented to the Cooperative Project must be done by using Free Software tools. If needed, Project members can help with the use of free software for individual projects. When a project is ready to be published in the website of the Cooperative Project, it should be published in the Wiki or sent via e-mail to the coordinator of the Cooperative Project: Iris Fernández. The prerequisites for participation in the Cooperative Project are:
- To create a workgroup with a tutor (a teacher or a parent)
- To use free software for the projects.
- To have at least one e-mail address to communicate with the people that would access to the project productions through the Cooperative Project website.
